Samantha Zagar

Energetic & Physiological Diagnostic Specialist

The Alchemist of Human Systems

My expertise is forged in the alchemy of nature, entrepreneurship, and the profound realization that true healing is never just external. I specialize in locating the single, unseen root block—emotional, energetic, or physiological—that prevents a system (whether a person or a horse) from achieving its natural, effortless flow.

The Defining Moment: Shifting from Product to Protocol

In 2017, I launched Mountain Medicine Holistics, hand-crafting herbal remedies. I spent years wildcrafting my own botanicals in British Columbia, formulating, producing, and selling highly effective tinctures, oils, and tea’s and more across Etsy, my website, and local markets.

This practical experience—the deep understanding of plant chemistry and creation—became the physical foundation of my current work. However, my business was fundamentally transformed by a single conversation at a farmers market. A woman sought a product to "fix" her, and I realized her pain was not physical, but emotional. My advice to her was direct: none of my products could fix the energetic cause. I told her she needed to believe in love again or she was going to die of heartbreak. She told me I should stop making products and just “talk to people” so I did.

That moment was my turning point. I shifted my focus entirely from selling medicine to providing the diagnosis, evolving my business into Sam Zagar Consulting Inc. and becoming primarily advice and protocol based. I stopped treating symptoms and started solving systems.

The Pillars of My Practiced Wisdom

My philosophy is backed by a broad spectrum of hands-on experience and education:

  • Energetic Diagnosis & Design: I use Human Design as my core blueprint tool, informed by years of personal study in Ayurveda, Yoga, Auric studies, Nutrition, and Energetics.

  • Holistic Formulation: My deep understanding of health protocols is rooted in my time as an entrepreneurial herbalist, coupled with my Holistic Health Practitioner education. I understand how to build a protocol, from sourcing the raw materials to seeing its effect on the whole system.

  • Systemic & Psychological Depth: My work is grounded in real-world psychology, stemming from my academic studies at UBC Okanagan and my critical experience providing trauma counselling in a Women’s Transition Center. I’ve read HD bodygraphs and provided de-conditioning therapy for more than 1,000 clients, and I read the whole person—their history, their energy, and their biology.

  • Cultural and societal understanding: I’ve given lectures and taught yoga within local First Nations communities and am versed in traditional plant medicine with respectful practices. I’ve worked internationally since 2018 which has brought me clients from many ethnicities, who speak many languages, with many different spiritual beliefs. I also have clients with physical disabilities, and clients on every range of the Autism spectrum.

  • Femininity: I identify as a Woman, a mother, and a daughter. I enjoy being able to bring qualities of softness, grace, tenderness, nurturing - but they’re backed with a ferociousness that defends those who depend on me. I’m strong enough to support you when you need someone to lean on.

My Commitment to the Whole System

Whether I am working over zoom with a client on their health block or diagnosing a movement issue in an equine partner along the BC Interior corridor, my commitment is to support you in surrendering to your natural flow. I bring the directness of a seasoned entrepreneur, the wisdom of an herbalist, and the insight of a diagnostic specialist to every system I encounter.

Samantha Zagar

(pronounced sjackarrr but you can say it like zay-gar)

want to ask me something?

I’ve always been a BC girl. I was born in northern BC in a small town called Terrace. When I was 10 I went west with my Mom to Vancouver Island. At 20 I went south to the Okanagan where I’ve been ever since.

I came here for University, I stayed for my son, Maven who I had at the age of 25. Becoming a single mom when my son was 3 was the catalyst I needed to launching my first successful business - Mountain Medicine Holistics, and it’s been a business that has adapted and evolved into the Sam Zagar Consulting that it is today.

I have obsessions with horses, my corgi, good food, seasonal drinks, finding plants, velvet, leather, and solving mysteries.
