BYOBReading - Strategic / Receptive Business Video

This video is where I like to start with all of my clients, but especially those who are coming to me for career advice. The reason I think knowing if you are a Strategic or a Receptive Mind is so important is that it guides us to how we can best communicate with each other throughout the rest of our time together, or how you will communicate best with the people you are working with. It’s speaking to our learning and communication style. Knowing how to support that gives us our best foundation for everything else we will be learning.

Something as simple as “is it better to ask questions, or be asked questions for you?” can change the whole ease of communication for both parties.

I speak heavily to the binary being supportive. How are we meant to support each other, to be the other half, and to both excel at our own natures instead of compromising and diluting our gifts. It’s about a dance we are meant to do together.

I give signs to watch for when one is trying to get the other to conform instead of find appropriates supports. I give examples of what strategic business looks like and how you can use it if it suits your strategy and authority, and chuck it out if it doesn’t.
